Support Youths to Escape from Poverty (SYEP) is a groundbreaking initiative equipping underserved youth in Ghana with employable digital skills to unlock economic freedom. By transforming community spaces into accessible tech hubs, we provide hands-on training in high-demand fields like coding, digital marketing, and tech entrepreneurship-bridging the gap between talent and opportunity
A significant number of young people in underserved communities across Ghana face limited access to quality education, skills training, and economic opportunities. As a result, many remain trapped in cycles of poverty, unemployment, and social exclusion. Despite the rapid growth of the global digital economy and increasing demand for tech-related services, these youths are often left behind due to a lack of digital infrastructure, technical knowledge, and mentorship.
The project will transform community spaces into mini tech hubs; this removes the barriers of distance, cost, and infrastructure that often prevent young people in marginalized areas from accessing training. The project focuses on teaching in-demand tech skills such as coding, digital marketing, graphic design, data analysis, and IT support that are directly aligned with current market needs locally and globally. Participants become employable opening up remote work and freelance opportunities
The Support Youth to Escape from Poverty (SYEP) project aims to create lasting change by reducing youth unemployment and poverty through digital skills training. Over time, it will help build a skilled tech workforce, promote innovation and entrepreneurship, and strengthen Ghana's digital economy. By empowering youth to generate income, develop startups, and lead community change, SYEP will foster generational transformation and inclusive, tech-driven development in underserved communities.
