30 Sewing Machines Distributed Among Deserving Women Across Pakistan
Alkhidmat Foundation proudly distributed 30 sewing machines to deserving and underprivileged women in various regions of Pakistan, empowering them to start or sustain their own home-based tailoring businesses.
Impact Highlights:
Beneficiaries included widows, orphans’ mothers, and women from low-income households
This initiative promotes self-reliance, economic independence, and dignity
Sewing machines were provided free of cost along with basic operational guidance
Many of these women will now be able to support their families financially from home
Aligned with UN SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), this initiative contributes to women’s empowerment by enabling them to earn a livelihood and contribute to the local economy.
“Now I can stitch clothes for others and support my children’s education. Thank you, Alkhidmat, for this opportunity.” – One of the women beneficiaries
Special thanks to our generous donors, including those on GlobalGiving, whose contributions make such meaningful empowerment projects possible.
