15 years of #ReinforcingFeminism

This year is important for Fondo de Mujeres del Sur: this October FMS celebrates its 15th anniversary. This represents 15 years of mobilizing resources to support groups and organizations and to strengthen feminist and diversity movements.

In honor of this event, we organized festivities in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, bringing together volunteers and activists from the organizations we support. We celebrated our efforts toward building the world we want to live in by reinforcing feminism with joy and enthusiasm.

We are delighted with the results achieved in this decade and a half of work, and I would like to share some of these successes with you:

In 15 years, we have supported 406 organizations of women and diverse identities and sexualities in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and more than 20 other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our efforts have allowed more than 10,000 activists to reach almost one million indirect beneficiaries.

FMS grants aim to economically and politically empower grantees and movements and are based on the principles of autonomy, flexibility, and sustainability. The grantees themselves, the diverse women, identities, and sexualities that make up and lead each organization, manage the money according to their own priorities and strategic interests.
