We are a non-governmental and a non-profit making organization called "The Needy Today, Sierra Leone" formed since 2005. Presently we operate in all five Districts in Northern Sierra Leone. The Mathinka Community where the Primary School is located is connected to the other 11 clustered communities. People in these experiencing high levels of poverty more especially children whose educational careers are in total shambles. Poverty is endemic in these communities and families can't meet educational demands of their children. The school seriously lacks educational and WASH facilities. 90% of the pupils are orphans and lack necessary support including education. The situation is sad.
This project will help solve the problem by providing teaching aid materials for the school, provide additional desk and benches in classrooms, providing learning materials for pupils now enrolled, Improve WASH facilities in the school
Through the provision of educational support, the vulnerable children will be able to acquire decent primary education with a foundation to succeed at secondary school levels. And if a brighter future of the children is enhanced through education, then they will be able to help others and develop their communities.
