Over the past three months, your support has continued to reach people with disabilities in Gaza who are living under extreme pressure and scarcity. With $79 raised so far, we prioritized the most immediate needs we could address through local purchasing and direct delivery. We focused on helping families that include a person with a disability access essential food and basic hygiene items, and we used each delivery visit to check on safety concerns and understand what support is most urgently needed next.
During one visit, a caregiver for her adult son with a disability shared that the hardest part is not only the lack of supplies, but the feeling of being “invisible” when needs go unmet for weeks. After receiving basic essentials, she told our team that having something as simple as food staples and soap in the home helped her feel more able to care for him with dignity. She asked us to thank you for “remembering families like ours,” especially when daily life feels overwhelming.
Working in Gaza remains extremely challenging due to insecurity, limited access, and rapidly rising prices, but your contribution helps us respond in practical ways even when resources are small. In the next reporting period, we will continue directing available funds toward urgent essentials for households that include a person with a disability, while also providing regular check-ins and referrals to any available services to reduce isolation and risk.
Thank you for standing with Gaza’s disability community. Your compassion is felt in the small, life-preserving details , a meal, basic hygiene, and the reassurance that someone is still paying attention.
