This project delivers urgent aid to people with disabilities (PWDs) in Gaza, who face extreme risks due to war, displacement, and inaccessible shelters. We provide food, hygiene kits, mobility aids, and bedding. We also work to adapt shelters to be more accessible, helping PWDs move safely, meet basic needs, and improve their physical and emotional well-being during the crisis.
People with disabilities (PWDs) in Gaza face severe threats due to war, displacement, and exclusion. Many have lost mobility aids and access to basics like food and sanitation. Most shelters are overcrowded and physically inaccessible, making it difficult for PWDs to move, evacuate, or meet their daily needs. Without targeted assistance, they remain among the most vulnerable and underserved in the crisis.
We provide direct aid to PWDs in Gaza: food parcels, hygiene kits, bedding, and mobility aids. We also adapt shelters to be more accessible-improving toilets, washing areas, and access routes. These actions not only support survival but also improve well-being by restoring dignity, reducing isolation, and helping PWDs regain comfort, safety, and independence.
This project helps PWDs survive the current crisis and improves their long-term inclusion. By meeting urgent needs and modifying shelter environments to be more accessible, we ensure they are not left behind. The project also strengthens inclusive humanitarian practices aligned with global disability rights standards.
