Building Futures in Malawi continues ti offer a right to education to the children in Mkanthama School located in Chiwamba village. Your endless support has made us to be a few steps closer to our dream. We really appreciate your kund gesture, may God bless you for changing lives of children in Malawi. Children from Chiwamba village have been given a glimpse of what they could do with their lives through education.
In April this year, we received 2 visitors from the UK and one of them was Mr. Mark Broughton Taylor who is one of the founders of the organization and also the one who started this school. It was great having him and the other guy who came Mr. Owen Wiseman. Mr Taylor was amazed to see how the school is growing and we had an amazing time talking with the students, teachers and even the parents of the children who comes to the school.
So far, we have managed to introduce a new class (standard 4) at the school and we are hoping to add more classes as we go. Construction of the school is still in progress as we need to do cement floor in all the classes, window glasses as well as desks so that the children are given a chance to good and comfortable environment for learning
We are also working on sourcing funds to drill and a install a borehole at the school so that the children can have easy access to clean and safe water. Currently we take water from the nearby village which is very far about 200 meters away from the school and we hope to resolve this water issue by the end of June this year.
Happy New Year to you and your family. We wish you good health and all the best in everything you do this year 2022.
I would like to give you a brief report of the project that you continuously support. Mkanthama School is growing and we now have 97 children who are registered at the school. Previously we have had classes from standard 1 to 3 and this year we are excited to inform you that we have started a new class; standard 4 with 15 students. We are hoping to introduce standard 5 towards the end of year specifically October since the next academic year begins in October
For the standard 4 class we have managed to source some funds to start building the classroom block which will have standard 4 and 5 classrooms because we currently don’t have one and the students are learning in a house which we built at the school for a teacher. We are expecting to start the construction of the new class next month (February) and we would like to ask for your usual support so that we can complete the project. Our plan is to have a full school from standard 1 to standard 8 by April 2023. We are still receiving donations towards this project and any contribution that you can make will be highly appreciated. Other needs that you can also contribute are textbooks, pental markers, notepads, blackboards and chalk just to mention a few and any other teaching materials that you may support us with will be highly appreciated.
We would like to inform you that you can make direct donations through our website visit www.buildingfuturesinmalawi.org for more information . If you have items that you would like to send to us email me on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lastly I would like to say thank you for the endless support that you give to our organization. Always praying for you.
I write to brief you the progress on construction of Mkanthama School, located in a rural remote area of Lilongwe in Chiwamba village. Building Futures in Malawi is always grateful for your continued support. The Mkanthama school block under construction is now in use, serving school children from pre-school to standard 3. The school block has three functional classrooms and130 students are registered.
For the construction project to be completed, we need to do painting, window glassinstallation and cement floor. Your support towards the completion of Mkanthama School is welcome. Our goal is to construct a full primary school with all the 8 classes from standard 1to standard 8, an administration office, a hall and washrooms.
Initially, Mkanthama School had 4 teachers including the Head teacher. Unfortunately, we lost one of the teachers Mr HarlodThandizeni on 9th September 2021. Harlod was the first and acting Head teacher at Mkanthama School before the present Head teacher was recruited. Until his death, Harlod played a very big role in facilitating the Mkanthama school project, may his soul rest in peace.
Thank you so much for your endless support to Building Futures in Malawi! We really appreciate and pray that God should continue to bless you. Best regards
I write to report to you about the progress of Mkanthama School which you are supporting. In our quest to raise the money for the project we managed to raise $956.79 and these funds have been used to finish building the walls, plastering inside and roofing.
On behalf of BFM team, I would like to say thank you so much for your continued support and the impact it made towards the project.
Currently there are 95 students at the school. The 3 classrooms we constructed led to a rise in the number of students as we are now able to accommodate more. However the classrooms are not yet completed, there is need for painting the walls inside and out, flooring and installing windows . We need to raise more funds for final completion of the construction project and as always whatever donation you can make towards this project is highly appreciated and we will make sure you see the impact of your donations.

Hello from Building Futures in Malawi (Mulibwanji)
Happy New Year, It sad to say that this year hasnt started well off due to this corona virus pandemic, it was in everybodies thoughts and prayers that in 2021 it was going to be a better year than the previous one. The Covid-19 situation in Malawi has significantly worsened in recent weeks. Within 24 hours last week we lost two Cabinet Ministers and two other senior officials and there has been a sudden increase in hospitalisations. While the overall number of Covid-attributed deaths remains comparably low, there is a serious risk that potential new strains could quickly overwhelm the limited healthcare capacity and result in a devastating humanitarian crisis. There have been almost as many Covid deaths in the first three weeks of this year as in all of 2020.
Back to the main subject, on behalf of the Board Members and Staff of BFM, I would like to thank you for the donation you made during our campaign of raising funds torwards the completion of Mkathama school block. Because of the donation you made we managed to complete the construction of the walls of the building and we also managed to put a roof on the two classrooms that are attached within the building, the whole building consist of 3 classrooms.
We appreciate for your continued support that you give to Building Futures in Malawi. Our orgaization relies on your support and everytime we ask for it you are always there to support us THANK YOU SO MUCH (ZIKOMO KWAMBILI). We do hope that we will be able to finish the construction of the whole building as soon as possible as we are still receiving donations torwards finalising the work.
