Dear Donor,
Our challenge continues with the Covid-19 situation.
Tarana Foundation started on this project to support rural pre-schools in 2019. Initially, it was decided to cover all 65 pre-schools in Dehiattakandiya over a period of 2-4 years, as a pilot project.
We supported 26 rural pre-schools in Dehiattakandiya in January 2020. A pack of educational and communication material worth Rs. 25,000/- was distributed to each pre-school to help simulate motor and language skills.
During January 2021, we covered another 10 pre-schools with the same pack of items, as the feedback for our packs distributed in early 2020, was overwhelming.
As of now, we have covered 35 rural pre-schools in Dehiattakandiya. We wish to support the balance of 30 pre-schools if possible in early 2022.
From the donations we receive on GlobalGiving, we will support the balance of rural pre-schools in Dehiattakandiya, in January 2022.
We thank all the donors who have contributed towards this project, as you have supported in providing a rounded early childhood education to these rural kids. Your continued support till the project is fully funded will help us to complete our objective of supporting all pre-schools in Dehiattakandiya.
May you and your families be blessed abundantly, and may all your noble aspirations be fulfilled.
Best Regards
Suranjani Wickremeratne
