Thirteen-year-old Happiness Gbor has already experienced more hardship than most children should face in a lifetime.
After armed violence forced her family to flee their village in Benue State, she found refuge in the Ortese Internally Displaced Persons Camp. Thanks to the commitment of teachers and humanitarian partners, Happiness is once again attending school—a place where she feels safe, learns every day, and dreams of a brighter future.
But one essential need remains dangerously uncertain. Safe drinking water.
Like thousands of children living in and around conflict-affected communities, Happiness and her classmates remain vulnerable to diseases caused by unsafe water. Without reliable access to clean water, simple activities such as drinking, washing hands, or using school sanitation facilities become daily health risks.
Education alone cannot protect a child from cholera, diarrhoea, or typhoid fever. Safe water can.
At GoGreen, we believe every child deserves more than a classroom. Every child deserves the chance to learn without worrying whether the next drink of water could make them sick.
Your Gift Creates Immediate Impact
One rehabilitated borehole can provide safe drinking water for hundreds of children and their families.
Safe water reduces waterborne diseases, improves school attendance, and helps children stay healthy enough to learn.
Every donation strengthens communities recovering from conflict and displacement.
Happiness has found hope through education.
Together, we can help ensure she—and thousands of children like her—have the clean water they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
Your generosity today can turn survival into opportunity and hope into lasting change.
