The Mabati Medical Centre (MMC) attends over 35,000 households in Kilifi County every year. In Kenya, healthcare services are far and few between, with most lacking the necessary human and medical resources to serve their communities. At MMC, we believe that by continuing to provide our basic quality preventive and curative healthcare services at a low fee of $3.19, we can ensure that our elders, parents and children can lead healthier and more productive lives.
Imagine being a tuberculosis patient in Kilifi County. Apart from our Medical Centre, few others can meet your needs. At the Mabati Medical Centre, we have the skilled professionals to provide a holistic and affordable medical care including TB treatment, but our x-ray machine needs replacement, our drug supplies are limited, pregnant mothers require quality antenatal care, and our staff need adequate protective equipment.
If we are able to replace faulty equipment, meet our prescriptions, keep our patients comfortable and ensure our health workers' safety and well-being, we will be able to continue treating illnesses like malaria, HIV/Aids, tuberculosis, urinary tract infections or quality antenatal care and diagnostics. Quality healthcare must be accessible, available, acceptable for all those who need it. By maintaining our standards, we can ensure the safety and health of our communities.
Around 81% of the community relies on crafts, casual labor, subsistence agriculture and trivial trading for their livelihoods. We believe a healthy economy = a thriving economy. Our quality healthcare services ensure that people are strong, resilient and focused enough to build better lives. Furthermore, many other medical centers rely on our expertise in key healthcare areas. Our quality services will help cultivate a prospering medical environment by improving basic livelihood of patients.
