Dear Sir/Madam,
Pygmies and other minority ethnic groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo remain the most vulnerable people who live in extreme poverty and destitution. In all Provinces of DRC we have them generally living in the Forest where they have no access to basic services such as health care, education, clean water, decent houssing among others.
They only have one option in order to survive and that is to hunt wide animals which are their food and which they also use in order to get money. However challenges are now existing as Animals are becoming few in the Forest and there is also a high demand from other Ethnic Groups who also hunt them. This calls upon various actors to join hands in order to engage these affected communities and ome up with alternative livelihood activities which may help to rebuild their lives.
This is what we still believe should be done and we shall embark on it as soon as we get the necessary finding. This project is among others which are highly affected with the current lack of funding especially for our various activities, yet we are confronted to all forms of emergency and actually everything is emergency in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
It is hope that through your support we shall get funds that can help this project to realize the expected results in the lives of the affected communities.
Thanks
