This Project will promote the protection of marginalization and vulnerable Indigenous Communities, in DRC through various activities of empowerment like adult education, access to schools for children, life skills, promoting economic opportunities and engage them in sports and other activities which may help top play a positive role at the community and national levels in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Despite the current positive legal frameworks which favor them, they are still down.
Last year 2024 the DRC passed a law which ensures the protection of indigenous persons mainly Pygmies who generally remain in the forest and less developed. However many are not informed and there are no initiatives to empower them about this great opportunity which they could explore in order to get involved in the country affairs. They do not have schools, they have no economic activities, they do not access to any form of education, they have no groups, no hospitals, no market, no roads,..
We shall reduce stigma buy proving them with basic social activities such adults education, construct health centers, schools and markets. It will also train them in various skills, and equip them with the necessary knowledge through access to information such as the promotion of the media, this will also facilitate to join social and cultural activities with others and participate in all community affairs, organize them in groups in order to raise their voices.
This project will at least support 500 Indigenous to become self-reliant through economic activity, basic adult education, and training them in life-skills. This project will help Indigenous people to access existing social services buy reducing stigma and discrimination, And lastly this project will promote a better healthy living conditions to Indigenous people in Camps. In brief this will help the country for an inclusive development in which no one will be left behind.
