This project will build school block of two classrooms that will accommodate 264 learners at Livingstonia Primary school. This will reduce absent ism and drop-out rate for better quality education. currently Mtende Homecraft Foundation is mobilizing community to gather bricks and sand for construction work as part of community contribution. Currently the construction work is at roofing level hence we fundraise to find roofing materials, plastering and flooring works and decoration.
The increased number of learners has resulted into shortages of classrooms at the school and this has affected quality education for 1050 learners who attend classes under trees at Livingstonia school - Malawi. Following Government adoption and implementation of free primary school education in 1994 in Malawi there has been many children registering for primary education. This has compromised the education quality as there is an imbalance on teacher pupils' ratio, number of classrooms.
The project will complement the newly construction school block by providing roofing materials, plaster work and flooring, and decoration (painting). Once completed, will accommodate 264 learners who are currently learning under a tree.
The project will educate 1050 learners who will bring change and development for their families and country as a whole.
This project has provided additional documentation in a DOCX file (projdoc.docx).
