IMPACT STORY – CLASS OF 2025
Every graduating class carries its own stories of growth, resilience, and transformation. Our Class of 2025 is no exception.
Meet a remarkable student whose journey reflects the spirit, grit, and vision that define Palm University.
“My journey at Palm University began with an unexpected yet life-changing opportunity granted by a scholarship offer. It wasn’t just a chance for higher education but a direct path toward my dream of becoming a software engineer with a touch of business.
Arriving at Palm University, I had mixed feelings. Seeing just one building left me a bit disappointed, but beneath that, I was excited about starting my university journey. Adjusting to university life was challenging at first. I remember a group project where I barely knew my teammates, yet we had to figure things out together. It was chaotic, but it taught me the importance of teamwork. I was naturally drawn to the technical courses, which were anything Information Technology (IT)-related. Freshman year felt manageable, but sophomore year hit hard with tougher courses. Things got better in junior year, and by senior year, I had found my rhythm.
Beyond academics, I wore many hats. I served as a leader and trainer for the Palm Fitness Club, became a peer mentor, and eventually the Speaker of Student Parliament. As a graphic designer for the University, I designed and created flyers, billboard designs, and university catalogs as part of community service to Palm University.
Memories with friends, faculty, and staff were priceless. Whether it was late-night study sessions, deep conversations with supportive lecturers, or just hanging out with friends, Palm was more than just a university.
My internship at Axon Information Systems was a turning point. I worked as a software development intern, building an expense tracker web app using React.js and Firebase. It taught me how to turn classroom knowledge into real-world solutions and solidified my passion for software development.
University wasn’t always smooth. I had to learn a lot outside the classroom to stay ahead. Some courses were tough, but with persistence, I overcame them. My final year project — a biometric clocking system for Palm University — was my biggest challenge. But through dedication and teamwork, we made it a success.
Palm shaped me into a resilient, adaptive, and skilled individual. The leadership roles I held, the technical skills I acquired, and the relationships I built all played a huge role in who I am today.
I plan to keep growing my technical and problem-solving skills, working on projects that make a real impact. My dream remains to become a top-notch software engineer while giving back to the community.
I would encourage the current and future Palmers to make the most of their time at Palm. Embrace challenges, get involved, and never stop learning. Every experience counts!
A heartfelt thank you to the founder and president of Palm University and the entire administration for making this journey possible. Thank you!
