Vision: To Regenerate the Rhythm of Life of the Disadvantaged.
Mission:
A nurturing home for every orphaned child, an opportunity for higher education for every girl and for every adult, the dignity of self-reliance and the desire to give back to society.
About IT centers
There is a growing demand for Information Technology among the poor urban and rural communities including communities around our Udayan homes. We have also found that the use of computers and IT is vitally important in our counseling programmes for the children of Udayan Homes. Thus, the project intends to focus on mixed communities; communities who are located around our Udayan Homes and those in the densely populated clusters of slums, resettlement colonies and other low income settlements by setting up IT centers for imparting Information Technology training.
Program Vision
To broaden horizons and bring IT close to the lives of underserved rural and urban communities in Delhi and NCR, and thus empower them for greater job prospects
Target Group & Reach
Poor urban/ slum communities, especially women, adolescent, children of Delhi and NCR
Unique aspects of the Program
Updates from this quarter
Workshop on “How to maximize brain’s potential”
The month of March means exam time (in India) which is a hectic time in the life of the students. This month, Udayan Care decided to give some tips to students for increasing their skills and improving their concentration power. We had conducted a small workshop on the topic "How to maximize brain's potential".
This workshop was structured for two hours with two sessions:
1:- How to do mind mapping with brainstorming
2:- Activity on chart paper
During the first session, the mentor taught the students how people have used brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and how to come up with creative solutions to overcome hitches. However, you need to use brainstorming correctly for it to be abundantly fruitful.Brainstorming combines a relaxed, informal approach to problem solving with lateral thinking. It encourages people to come up with thoughts and ideas that can, at first, seem a bit bizarre. Some of these ideas can be crafted into original, creative solutions to overcome a problem, while others can spark even more ideas. This helps to get people unstuck by "jolting" them out of their normal ways of thinking.
In the second session students learnt about mind mapping. Mind mapping helps to organize thoughts when we are struggling with brainstorming. Our students prepared a mind map on a chart paper by using different topics like:- Lifestyle, Enjoyment, & sports etc. Once they were done, they gave a small presentation, during which they explained how they prepared mind maps revolving around the topic.
Exposure Visit
Our Graphic & Print Design students have polished themselves actively. Udayan Care has decided to give exposure to boost them through a visit to Ajanta offset & Packaging Ltd. (Printing Press) Faridabad, Haryana. During this exposure visit, students understood the process of printing, gathering process pertaining to book making, 3 steps folding process and all those things which, as a graphic designer, one has to keep in mind while designing the print material.
The vision of Youth Voices Program was to empower young people to harness creativity and digital skills to create change in their lives and their communities. We enroll 20 students in a 6 month duration course. Through dedicated educators, we inspire young people to be intentional and impactful in their media making, to create using youth voices and digital media for social change in communities.
Women’s Day Celebration
Young girls from United Decoratives-Udayan Care IT Center were excited to celebrate women's day at the center. Students decided to dedicate this day to Dr. Kiran Modi (Managing Trustee-Udayan Care), who has rendered her services in the field of welfare of children.
On the occasion of women’s day, we organized a card making workshop. During the workshop, the students prepared cards for Dr. Modi to wish her a happy women's day. The girls quoted beautiful lines about her efforts in the field of child welfare and in the field of education.
Nothing can stop a dedicated women

Now, she is working with Digital Media at Kalkaji and she travels up and down daily from Badarpur to Kalka ji by metro.
“I enjoy working on computers. Recently, I started working with digital media with the help of Udayan care placement cell, but this is just the beginning of the fulfillment of my dreams. I want to work with a big organization and I know I have to work hard to make this possible.”
