Adobe youth Voice Program
On 5th February ‘2015, a project on cyber crime by the students of one of our centres won them accolades at the FICCI auditorium, an association of buisness organizations in India. The recognition came as a reward for the past three months of rigorous training workshops aimed to hone the IT skills of our students. The students were given the basic knowledge of using digital media which included Adobe Premiere Element 11, Adobe photoshop skills. All students under the age group of 19 years were trained under this programme. They chose various social issues for their project work for instance- Importance of Hygiene and Sanitation and poverty.
The objective of the Udayan Care’s ITVT programmes is to improve the lifelong learning for underserved young people and adults, especially women drawn from the poor urban communities by providing technology skills through Udayan Care IT & VT Centres. This is achieved by empowering the poor urban communities to make use of technology to help them improve their limits and individual potential.
The integration of AIF- AYV programme with our existing centre definitely helped us to promote technological literacy in the community and make people realize that it can be utilized in all walks of life to bring about betterment in their life.
We are extremely thankful to the AIF-AYV for giving us the opportunity through this three month programme to empower our youth to become agents of change in their respective communities. The AVY programme indeed became a model for strengthening our existing leadership and communication skills.

Sweden Express at our Computer Centre:
In March, 2015, one of our IT centres at Sidhrawali hosted a delegation, comprising of 24 students with three escort teachers from Abt Kungsholmens Gymnasium School, Sweden. It was an amazing experience for our students and the teaching staff as everyone got to interact with the student group. It also became an occasion where our students were exposed to a different culture and its people.
Impact of the Programme activities
There is both direct and indirect impact of the programme. On the tangible lines, the basic and advanced computer courses are adding on to both knowledge and skills of the young students. Interacting with each other, the students become better aware and explore different career opportunities. Thus enhancing the livelihood options available to these students and giving them an advantage in the job market. Spoken English and life skills training are also a part of the curriculum to make students job ready. Looking at it on indirect lines, there is increase in the confidence level of the students who step out of the school academics attending the center and broaden their horizon. The students are ready to compete in the job market and stand equipped to face the career challenges. A sense of dignified independence touches them with the completion of the course. The students of different ages, gender and economic backgrounds make the learning experience more diverse and rich. Year on year the centers produce equipped more aware and optimistic students.
It goes without saying that the IT&VT centers have equipped students across Delhi & NCR with the dignity of self reliance.
Miracle of Hopes
From the narrow bylanes of Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh to the metropolitan city of Delhi, Prashant Singh (name changed) has come a long way. And this journey has changed him in more ways than one. Being the eldest son of agriculture based family, Prashant Singh was expected to shoulder the family responsibilities along with his father. After completing his 12th, 24 year old Prashant Singh (name changed) was searching for a job, but without any knowledge of computers, he could not succeed in his efforts.
Learning about the Udayan care ITVT center through Udayan Care’s community mobilization team, he got some hope. He joined the DCA course (Diploma in Computer Application) at the Udayan Care IT Centre in Delhi. After completing the course he got his first job in a Private Company as a data entry operator with a salary of Rs.9000/- per month.
More than Prashant Singh his family is very proud of his efforts and truly believes that the computer training and holistic development at the centre has helped transform the life of the whole family.
