By Manoj Shrivastava | Asst. Director - UCIT Program
Greetings of the day to all,
Hello Everyone, I’m Arpit, and I work in the Udayan Care IT Program as a Regional Coordinator deployed in the head office (Delhi). I have joined Udayan Care 5 months back initially I spent my time observing the programmatic operational activities later my name was nominated to find the best auditorium in South Delhi region where Udayan Care IT Program organize the big event called "3rd Grand Alumni Meet".
The Grand Alumni Meet is a much-awaited event, which can also be called a celebration of success, was conducted on January 8, 2023 (Sunday) in the premises of the Arya Auditorium (Delhi) which was identified by me. The event was designed to keep in mind the theme of "Let’s reunite to give back”. More than 400 alumni, 65 staff members, representative from our partners CIENA, ABB, HCL Foundation, Microsoft, Jeevika Saarthi Foundation, 6 representative from the side of our active employers who used to do recruitment in bulk from our IT Centres, Udayan Care’s different program’s HODs, Deepak Sharma Ji (Trustee & Hon. Director – UCIT), Meera Sawhney (Trustee), Akansha Arora & Sanjeev Gupta Ji (Advisory board members) and Our guest of honor, IES - Vinita Aggarwal (Executive Member – NCVET), who were welcomed by Dr. Kiran Modi (Managing Trustee – Udayan Care), joined this grand event. The well planned event started with the national anthem with using the sign language from our 3 IT Centre students and continue with the beautiful cultural diversity performance by our 40 existing IT Centre students who shows the impact from the 5 states of India. Same day we have announced the top 12 alumni of the year for their enormous voluntarily support which they have extended for the growth of the program, another R&R planned for our top 6 employers who supported us continuously to provide employment opportunity to our students. The R&R continue with the announcement to recognize the Udayan Care’s IT Centre staff who have served more than 5 years to the program with their services. The event has beautifully concluded by the guest of honor Shri Harsh Lohit (Member – Social Venture Partners) and the chief guest IES – Vinita Aggarwal ji, both the congratulated to the IT Centre team for the mega event and appreciate the efforts of presented alumni in the auditorium for spending their time, money & networking for the upliftment of society. The event’s grand success covered in local newspapers. Later, I got a chance to coordinate with 4 IT centres to list out 48 students who will benefit from the 4 weeks of personality development and English communication classes in Inlingua (South Ex). Inlingua is an international language school that has 308 centres in 34 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. Our students from Nangloi, Loni, Govindpuri, and Bhangel centres have successfully completed the Level-1 training program.
As per my roster to visit the centre which coming under of my job roles I went to visit the Udayan Care’s Kasna (Greater Noida) IT Centre where I met with a student who was coming with his job offer letter to share his happiness with the centre team, the boy name was Lavish who grew up in a small village near Greater Noida where his father raised animals and sold their milk to support his family of six members. Lavish finished his education at a state government school and then made the decision to seek a degree through distance learning. He also began looking for employment opportunities to assist his family financially. 19-year-old guy only has a 12th-grade marksheet, which is insufficient to land any professional employment opportunities.
One of his friends advised him to join Udayan Care's Kasna IT Center because we only charge small fees from students while still providing them with high-end training.
He received a job offer from Forme Trading Company (G.Noida) with a starting salary of Rs. 9500 after completing a four-month training programme in Diploma in Information Technology (DIT). He is extremely happy to have achieved financial independence.
