Greetings of the day !!
My name is Simmi, I got connected with Udayan Care through “Books for All” one of the organizations based in Noida working with youngsters who come from economically challenging family backgrounds and whose parents are working as labor on construction sites nearby the vicinity of Noida. Since childhood, I have always paid attention towards studies, especially for my father who used to work as a grocery item distributor on cycle in local shops. He really works hard for raising our family consisting of 5 members, that is why I intended to explore an entry-level job for supporting my family financially. Rajendra suggested me to learn some computer courses which will help me grab a job opportunity in a growing sector. I joined Udayan Care’s Bhangel, Noida IT Centre, and completed 4 months Diploma in Information technology (DIT) successfully as a result, with the help of the placement team I got the opportunity to work with a training institute called S&S Care Skills Academy Pvt Ltd. as front desk executive with INR10000 as salary per month. My family feels really happy and proud of me and I’ll ever be thankful to Udayan Care & their supporters for giving me a platform where the staff focus to build our capacity in making us independent.
During the 4 months of training, I have participated in multiple workshops & activities organized with the purpose to ensure the holistic development of youth. I specifically remember when Udayan Care’s West Delhi IT Centre alumna Gunjan took a session to share her expertise which she learned during her official training. Gunjan has been working with a renowned firm as a Data Analyst for the last 1.5 years.
The main objective to organize this session was to motivate youth for taking an interest in polishing their skills in MS Excel and build careers in the field of data operation also to encourage the existing students to be part of the Alumni Network, initiated with the objective to teach our center beneficiaries “Giving back to the society”, through a strong and large network-initiated since 2018 by Udayan Care IT Centre Programme. On the occasion of “International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies” we participated in a session organized by PRAVAH, more than 80 students from various IT Centers got connected in the session. Through this session, we gained awareness and developed a clear understanding of making the environment clean which is important for health and productivity also for the economic welfare of the country. One of my friends who pursued a computer course from Udayan Care’s Noida Sec 57 IT Centre told me about the Volunteering Week celebrated by Tata Power Trading Company Limited.
Amit, Chief executive officer, TPTCL, visited our Noida IT Centre along with his team Neha (Company-Secretary), Ritu (CFO), Surbhi (HR-Manager). During their visit, Amit interacted with the students to know about their career aspirations. He was found to be a really impressive motivator for all the students, Surbhi took a long hour session on Resume Building, during her session she instructed students in creating effective & attractive resumes for their initial interview round.
Although I have completed my training and got busy in my job still I got connected as Alumna with IT Centre Programme, I came to know through social media platform that on the occasion of 75th Independence Day Udayan Care's all IT Centres students celebrated this patriotic day with utmost fervor. Few students ensured their presence virtually to participate in poster making competition and those students who visited the center enjoyed some indoor games following COVID appropriate behavior, our Noida IT Centre took the pledge and pasted the same on notice board to keep one and all aware about their responsibilities as a responsible citizen of India.
Recently I came to know about one more feather in Udayan Care IT Programme’s cap. Udayan Care inaugurated its 15th IT Centre in Faridabad Haryana with the kind support of ABB Generators & Motors. Dheeraj (Vice-President & Plant-Head ABB) along with his team lit the lamp and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the center officially for the underserved community youth who are looking for a platform where they can attend formal training in IT courses which will help them give a kick start to their career.
At the end of the event, our newly inducted students paid their gratitude to ABB by presenting a beautiful handmade thank you card and Dheeraj wished all the very best to our students for their better future and motivated them towards earnest learning.
