About Udayan Care
Udayan Care is a Public Charitable Trust, working for the last 24 years, for the quality care of disadvantaged children and women.
Vision: To Regenerate the Rhythm of Life of the Disadvantaged
Theory of Change:“There are millions of orphaned and abandoned children in India; in addition, girls from weaker sections of society do not get an equal opportunity to continue their education; professional skills and attitude are lacking among disadvantaged communities to become economically self reliant”.
Udayan Care provides homes to orphaned children while also giving girls financial and development support to continue higher education, and communities to train themselves in vocations, by engaging socially committed individuals, who provide a transformative, nurturing and mentoring environment, to help them realize their full potential.
Mission:
A nurturing home for every orphaned child, an opportunity for higher education for every girl and for every adult, the dignity of self-reliance and the desire to give back to society.
About ITVT centers
There is a growing demand for Information Technology and vocational training among the poor urban and rural communities including communities around our Udayan homes. We have also found the use of computer and IT vitally important in our counseling programme for the children of Udayan Homes. Thus, the project intends to focus on mixed communities; communities who are located around our Udayan Homes and those in the densely populated clusters of slums, resettlement colonies and other low income settlements by setting up IT & VT centers for imparting Information Technology and vocational skills training.

Unique aspects of the Program

Expert Session
In Udayan Care Information Technology Programme we believe to give exposure to our students which helps them to get awareness about other organizations & corporate trends that's why we send our students for exposure visits and sometimes we call people from other organizations to ensure that, training of trainees should be done in some effective modules. Recently we invited Jamal who is working with one of renowned organization called ETASHA society as a soft skills trainer. Jamal took a session which was based on "How to have fluency in English Communication" 40 students attend a 2 hours’ session, during the session they experienced debate, role play, one to one conversation etc.
As per the feedback which we received from Jamal, our students were found enthusiastic and energetic while they participated in debate and role play they are curious to polish their English communication.
Capacity Building Training
On 30th May our 3 staff members attend a capacity building workshop which is a sensitization programme, this programme was conducted by EFICOR (The Evangelical Fellowship of India Commission on Relief) the organization have been working for people who are differently abled and steadily we are progressing towards our aim of empowerment people with disability, enduring the same spirit EFICOR would like to flame the torch of empowerment further to the people with disability. Since inception of our West Delhi center (2017) we are in touch with EFICOR to help them to train their students who are specially abled, so many beneficiaries of EFICOR are benefitted from our West Delhi IT center too, as they have attended training in Information Technology & English Communication, we believe in collaborative efforts which comes in the favor of community development. EFICOR team invited to our trainers for their capacity building which helps them "how to deal with especially able persons" and how we can make them self-sustainable

Success Story – Neha
Neha is a passionate girl who has zeal to do something in her life but she comes from a very conservative family. Neha is from a small village in Himachal Pradesh and she grew up in BudhVihar Rohini which is a resettlement colony in North Delhi. Her father is working as a driver and is the only person who earn for his family. The economic condition of her family is not good, she always thinks about being a helping hand for her family but her family's narrow mindedness does not give her permission to involve herself in a job inspite of the fact that she is a graduated in B.com from Delhi University's distance learning programme. One of our faculty members met Neha during a community survey and she was found really curious to learn Tally course, initially her father did not permit her to learn this course but at the end he got convinced.
Neha Today
After completion of training in Tally ERP 9 Neha got the opportunity to join as Accountant in one of CA firms where she gets good entry level salary. As per Neha's feedback UC-SVP CICL become a boon for her where she groomed herself in IT with the help of our dedicated faculties & mentors simultaneous she polished her English communication with help of English Bolo programme too.
