Help Older People & Families Displaced in Lebanon

When people are forced to leave their homes, every part of daily life can change in an instant. Across Lebanon, families have fled communities where they have lived for years—often with little warning and no clear sense of when, or whether, they will be able to return.

For 62-year-old H.A., the disruption has been profound. After fleeing her home, she is now living in a crowded shelter, where privacy is limited, daily life is uncertain, and even basic needs can be difficult to meet. Like many older people affected by displacement, she is not only adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings but also facing the added challenge of managing her health during a crisis.
