Families in Lebanon are being displaced from their homes amidst the humanitarian crisis. Through our local partner, Amel Association, we are supporting older people and families with essential supplies, ensuring they are not overlooked in emergency response efforts.
As the humanitarian crisis deepens, many families in Lebanon are sheltering in overcrowded spaces with limited access to basic necessities. For older people, displacement can be especially dangerous, and they are often overlooked in humanitarian response efforts.
Through our global network partner, Amel Association, HelpAge is already responding. As a start, we've distributed 350 family hygiene kits to families in a collective shelter. Each kit provides essential items like soap, detergent, and sanitary supplies, ensuring older people can maintain their health and dignity in extremely difficult conditions.
