The last three months has seen an increaded number of women who have join the cooperatives. This increase has been as a result of the sucess stories from other poor women. We have included some basic health checks we the women come for meetings. We have registered 560 women in different cooperative groups and as we prepare for the planting season many of them will get improved seeds some will join the rabbit breeding project. In the last three months the focus was mainly to moblize women to join the cooperatives. We can then shift the focus to the youth and other vulnerable groups. Cooperatives make women save small amounts of money and borrow to develop their own enterprises and earn their own income so that they do not have to depdend entirely on their spouses for their personal needs. Our target for the next three months is to get the women actively involved in diffrerent enterprise activities and train the in book keeping so that their income can be tracked.
