Libertad Eterna (Eternal Freedom) is a civil association that, since 2016, is dedicated to the protection and accompaniment of children, adolescents and young adults in contexts of extreme vulnerability, working especially in situations of abandonment, violence and problematic substance use. The objective of this project is to expand development opportunities for children, adolescents and young adults in vulnerable situations, providing them with a safe, educational and recreational space.
One of the organization's major challenges is the development of the community club, a space designed to complement the activities currently carried out at its main headquarters. This club will serve as a center for sports, educational, and recreational activities, while also integrating vocational training programs.
In Engineering without Borders Argentina and Eternal Freedom we agree that the development of children is intimately linked to recreational activities and sports, in addition to the fulfillment of the right to food and education. That is why this project will be focused on the construction of a sports and recreational center, that will include a multipurpose court (soccer, basketball, volleyball, etc.), a square with games, a vegetable garden and a green area.
Sports foster child development by improving physical health, boosting self-esteem, and teaching values like respect and teamwork. They promote inclusion, reduce inequality, and support learning. Expanding access to sports in childhood leads to lasting personal and social benefits, shaping healthier, empathetic, and engaged individuals.
