Prolonged stays in basements during shelling, blackouts, and the loss of loved ones have negatively impacted the physical and mental health of Ukrainians. While the entire country is fighting against the invader, these people are forced to fight for their own well-being and
Due to the full-scale invasion, remote villages and areas near the conflict zone have been left without access to essential medical and psychosocial services.Shelling of infrastructure, destruction of roads, and occupation have made it impossible to receive medical assistance. The nearest hospitals are 50 kilometers away, and transportation is either unavailable or irregular. The lives of thousands of people have changed: they are left without basic services, threatening their health and well-being
The Mobile Multidisciplinary Teams Project ensures that the affected population has access to basic medical and psychosocial services. These teams, consisting of a doctor, nurse, psychologist, and social worker, travel to remote areas to provide medical, psychological, and social assistance. This comprehensive approach improves the health and quality of life for thousands of people who have been left without access to essential services.
Receiving essential medical and psychosocial services during such challenging times will help people who are cut off from assistance to endure the hardships of war and maintain their health. This will strengthen the community by providing stability, improving overall well-being, and creating a foundation for recovery and future development.
