Funding Progress Continues, but Full Support Has Not Yet Begun

Dear GlobalGiving Team and Supporters,

We are submitting a transparent update on Support Mission Priests in Ghana & Côte d’Ivoire.

The project is designed to provide structured annual support to mission priests and deacons serving rural communities through stipends, transportation assistance, health coverage, educational materials, and accountable monitoring. The proposed annual budget is USD 65,000, intended to support up to 50 mission leaders across Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.

During this reporting period, the project received some donor support, but the total funding available has not yet reached the level required to begin the full support program responsibly.

Because the current amount is still insufficient:

The full annual stipend program has not started.
Transport and mobility support has not been activated at the planned scale.
Health insurance and emergency coverage have not yet been fully established.
The complete package of educational and pastoral materials has not been distributed.
We are not claiming full program outcomes or annual beneficiary results.

We believe it would be financially irresponsible to begin a recurring support program without enough funding to sustain it. Starting too early could create commitments that cannot be maintained throughout the year.

Our immediate objective is to continue building the fund until a clearly defined first support period can be financed responsibly, with proper records, controls, and transparent reporting.

We are grateful to every donor who has already contributed. Each gift moves the project closer to activation, even though the required funding threshold has not yet been reached.

Our request is clear: help us close the remaining funding gap so the first complete period of mission support can begin.

Current Funding Status

As of this reporting period, the project has not yet secured funding through the platform.

Accordingly:

No stipends have been disbursed.
No project-designated allocations have been released under this funding stream.
No financial commitments have been incurred.

Global Funding Context

It is important to acknowledge the broader philanthropic environment.

In a period marked by:

Economic contraction
Inflationary pressure
Ongoing humanitarian crises

Donor behavior has shifted significantly toward emergency-response priorities.

As a result, structured and recurring stabilization programs such as this one are experiencing slower activation cycles across many fundraising environments.

Strategic Review & Structural Alignment

We recognize that long-term, community-based initiatives require careful structural positioning to remain viable in changing conditions.

Accordingly, we are reviewing:

Phased activation models
Quarterly sponsorship thresholds
Mission-by-mission segmentation frameworks

These measures aim to better align the annual framework with current donor engagement patterns.

Operational Continuity

Mission leaders continue their service through:

Existing parish systems
Limited local support structures

The GlobalGiving initiative is designed to reinforce and stabilize that service — not to replace ongoing operational foundations.

Governance & Financial Integrity

No financial obligations have been incurred under this funding stream.
Governance oversight remains fully intact.
Accountability and compliance standards continue to be observed.
