Challenge

In Amazonas, 273,000 young people aged 15 to 29 face challenges that hinder their development and access to the job market. Most families live on minimal income and have limited access to quality education. Many reside in precarious housing and rely on government aid. The state also recorded 156,000 illiterate individuals aged 15 and older in 2023, highlighting its educational challenges. These barriers limit their opportunities in the job market.

Solution

The project supports 60 adolescents and young people aged 14 to 24 in Manaus per year, offering psychosocial guidance to help them build their life plans and develop essential skills. It also provides job market preparation, including workshops, resume writing, and lectures. To strengthen their qualifications, the initiative offers computer classes, covering Microsoft Office and advanced content, expanding their opportunities for professional inclusion and a better future.

Long-Term Impact

The project collaborates for lasting social and economic change by empowering young people in Amazonas with skills and knowledge to break the cycle of poverty. Through psychosocial support, job market preparation, and computer classes, it increases their chances of securing stable jobs and achieving financial independence. In the long term, it reduces youth unemployment and social vulnerability, strengthens community development, and fosters a more skilled and resilient society.
