There is currently about 5000 children living with cureable conditions like spinal bifida, frcatured arms, hydrocephalus and the likes because they cannot afford the cost involved in treatment. For this reason, some families reach out for a local treatment which puts the life of the children at a higher risk. Yearly, the Norther region loses over 900 children to curable conditions. To mitigate this, this project serves as a community insurance system saving the lives of underprivilge children.
Over the the past 4 years, this project has mobilised over #60,000 dollars to save lives of 86 patients and still counting. The funds of this project is for the medical needs of children. It makes readily available the financial resources needed for life saving health assessments like labs and scans and procedures like surgeries, nutrition planning and therapy.
The project will see to the full treatment of 20 children in Northern Ghana. It will pay for their consultation, investigations, surgeries and post surgery care. in cases where there is a surplus, families benefit a business capital. This will save lives and pave a way for children from poor families to dream and chase their dreams. it also eradicates poverty by setting up a business for mothers of patients after their recovery.
