Growing older should not mean living without access to quality healthcare. Many elderly people in Ghana struggle with medical costs, chronic illnesses, and limited access to regular health services. This project will support 500 elderly people through health screenings, essential medicines, health education, and referrals for further care. The initiative will help older adults manage health conditions, improve wellbeing, and live healthier lives with dignity.
Many elderly people in Ghana face challenges accessing healthcare due to limited income, chronic diseases, and reduced mobility. Conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, and vision problems often go untreated because regular checkups and medications are unaffordable. Without early detection and proper care, these health issues can become more serious, affecting independence, quality of life, and overall wellbeing.
The project will provide healthcare support to 500 elderly people through community outreach programs, medical screenings, health education, essential medicines, and referrals for specialized treatment. Healthcare professionals will help identify health conditions early and guide beneficiaries on managing their health. By bringing services closer to older adults, the project will reduce barriers and improve access to necessary healthcare.
Improving healthcare access for elderly people will help prevent complications from untreated health conditions and promote healthier aging. The project will enable older adults to receive timely care, maintain independence, and improve their quality of life. Over time, stronger community support and increased awareness of elderly healthcare needs will contribute to healthier and more inclusive communities in Ghana.
