We always dreamt of a India where girls are treated with high dignity and honour and with this dream we started a small project as a stepping stone. Coming from a poor family and obtaining a high profile job for girls is a big hindrance. Girls are not fortunate enough in India to get equality even in 21st century. And if she is from a backward society then one cannot even dream of it.
But our determination made us to change the dream into reality atleast for the few who aspirants. We started with no money in hand. The only thing was determination and long term perspective. Due to lack of funds we targeted a small group of 25 girls. These girls are from nearby villages who aspire to do something for their family, society and country but due to lack of facilities and support of family, they are not privilegged to join schools for higher studies. How can we waste this talent?? These girls are bright and active students. They are capable and deserving.
After conducting small survey we selected these girls and started implementing our strategies. First we focused on motivating them and their family members by regular counselling. They were helped to join colleges and associated them with government agencies and provided them benefits of government schemes. We didn't stop here as we are looking for long term results. We provide them continous counselling so that they are motivated and they keep on driving towards their goal.
We wished to provide them other facilities too like study material, conveyance, college fees, coaching etc, but due to lack of funds we are sad that we are unable to meet such basic needs of a student. colleges are far and girls safety is a major concern in India. That is why we need to provide them conveyance facility also. We are dreaming of providing future leaders from such strata of society by providing proper guidance and facilites. By God's grace these 25 girls are doing really well in academics and motivating others too. They are a matter of pride for their school, village and of couse parents. Hope to get better opportunity to provide facilities to more and more girls.
