Action for Women and Children Concern (AWCC)Somalia plans to support 100 female gender based violence survivors in Somalia to provide them psycho social support,council ling and vocational training. This project helps them to create income opportunities for the survivors and integrate them their community.
The long running civil war in Somalia has seen a sharp rise in the gender based violence in Somalia that more women across the country are everyday subject to sexual gender based violence.The survivors are even subject to further marginalization and denial of their fundamental rights. Instead of being leaving them to resort other options like suicide,AWCC Somalia will provide them opportunities to restart their lives afresh and recover from their ordeals through integrated support.
Providing psycho social support,counselling and vocational training and education for the survivors will help alleviate their suffering and integrate them to their communities beginning to live with dignity
The project will equip 100 female survivor with vocational skills and integrate them with their communities allowing them to recover from the gender based violence experience,integrate them better with the society and rise out of poverty.
