Dear GEC Supporters and Friends,
We hope this message finds you well. As the school term progresses, we’re happy to share that our students are thriving and our programs in Ghana continue to grow from strength to strength. Your steadfast generosity makes it possible for us to nurture the next generation of changemakers through transformative learning experiences and long-term mentorship.
We’re especially proud to highlight one of our outstanding alumni, Amatu, whose journey with GEC began in grade two. As part of the founding group of scholars who helped shape GEC from its earliest days, she has continued to exemplify the values of perseverance, leadership, and service. With ongoing support from our team and community, Amatu successfully completed high school and advanced to college—an achievement made possible through her dedication and the encouragement of supporters like you. Her brilliance and determination continue to shine, inspiring younger students to dream big and work hard toward their goals —just the way Amatu always has.
This year, Amatu achieved another remarkable milestone: she was selected to join the Ghana Immigration Training Service, passing an exceptionally competitive national process. Soon, she will graduate as a commissioned Ghana Immigration Officer and plans to continue her college education after completing her training. We couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishments, which stand as a true reflection of the life-changing impact of your support.
In our next update, we’ll be sharing highlights from an exciting upcoming event—our board visit and retreat in Ghana. This time of reflection and connection with our students, alumni, and local partners will help us chart the next phase of GEC’s mission. We can’t wait to share stories, photos, and insights from that experience with you—stay tuned!
As always, thank you for believing in our work and for investing in the bright futures of Ghana’s young leaders. Your continued partnership fuels every success story we celebrate.
With gratitude,
The GEC Team
