Dear Valued Donors,
For this project update, we’re excited to share details about two impactful sessions happening this weekend. These events will equip our students and alumni with essential personal and professional growth skills—key pillars of our Changemaker Programming.
We are honored to feature Amma Aboagye, a seasoned social development expert with over 15 years of experience in strategy, policy, and communications across multiple sectors. A graduate of Cornell, Columbia, and the London School of Economics, she has held diverse roles, from teaching to shaping education policy. In her current role as Senior Learning and Partnerships Advisor at USAID, she fosters collaboration and adaptive learning across West Africa. Amma’s insights and lived personal and professional experiences will provide our students and alumni with practical tools to build resilience, set meaningful goals, and drive lasting impact.
Building Resilience & Growth Mindset
In our first session, Amma will guide alumni through strategies to develop a positive mindset, manage setbacks, and cultivate resilience. By exploring self-awareness, overcoming negative self-talk, and reframing limiting beliefs, students will create personalized action plans to turn challenges into opportunities.
Turning Vision into Action
The second session will focus on helping students transform visionary ideas into tangible results. Amma will concentrate on setting meaningful goals, developing execution roadmaps, and leveraging GEC’s support network. Students will leave with clear strategies to overcome obstacles and track their progress toward success.
Why This Matters
These programs directly contribute to our Changemaker Programming, which empowers students to become future leaders in their communities. By fostering resilience, strategic thinking, and goal-setting skills, we equip young changemakers with the tools they need to drive meaningful impact in Ghana and beyond.
Your generosity makes this impactful programming possible, providing our students with invaluable opportunities for personal, educational, and professional growth. Thank you for your continued support of the next generation of leaders!
In partnership,
The Ghana Educational Collaborative Team
