Support widows & out of school children in Nigeria

The project, "Supporting Widows and Out-of-School Children in Nigeria," is an initiative aimed at addressing the pressing issues faced by widows and children who are out of school in Nigeria. This report provides a concise and engaging update on the project's progress, with a focus on the impact made possible through the generous support of our donors.

Before delving into the details, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all our donors. Your continued support has been the driving force behind the success of this project.

Let us share with you a touching story that exemplifies the impact of your contributions. Meet Mrs. Calister, a widow struggling to make ends meet while also caring for her two children that are out of school after the demise of her husband. Through the project, Mrs. Calister received cash support, vocational training, equipping her with skills to start a small business. Today, not only has she transformed her life, support her children in school but she has become an inspiration to others in her community.

Since our last report, we are thrilled to update you on the following key activities:

Cash support and food distribution: A total of 15 widows have successfully completed vocational training programs, empowering them with cash support as start up capital for small business and also food items were distributed to them

Educational Support: 35 out-of-school children have been enrolled in educational programs. This includes the provision of school supplies such as pen, pencil, exercise books, and uniforms.

A total of 50 widows and out-of-school children have directly benefited from the project.

While progress has been significant, we have encountered challenges such as financial and security barriers. However, we are actively working on innovative solutions and partnerships to overcome these hurdles.
