Project Report | Aug 30, 2026
"Send Back 2000 Out-of-School Children"

By Oluwafemi Opeyemi | Media Head

We remain committed to helping 2,000 vulnerable children return to school and regain access to quality education. Many children in low-income communities cannot afford school fees, uniforms, books, and other learning materials.

‎Some also face violence and attacks from terrorist groups, while others, especially girls, are at risk of being married off at an early age. These challenges rob children of their right to education and a better future.

‎Our project aims to remove these barriers, protect vulnerable children, and give them the opportunity to return to school and build a brighter future.

‎PROGRESS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

‎Over the reporting period, our activities have been severely limited due to a lack of funding. We have not been able to provide the planned educational support or carry out major community outreach activities.

‎Despite this challenge, we remain committed to identifying vulnerable children and supporting them to return to school once funding becomes available. We are actively seeking donors and partners who can help us reach these children and protect them from child labour, exploitation, early marriage, and other risks associated with being out of school.

‎FUNDING CHALLENGES

‎Our most significant challenge continues to be the lack of financial support.

‎For the past 11 months, we have received no financial funding for this project. While our commitment to the communities we serve has remained strong, the absence of funding has greatly limited what we are able to accomplish.

‎The funding shortage has affected our ability to:

‎· Enroll more out-of-school children into formal education.

‎· Provide school fees, uniforms, books, and other essential learning materials.

‎· Conduct regular follow-up and monitoring of supported children.

‎· Respond to the growing number of families requesting assistance.

‎· Provide meaningful support to vulnerable widows and single mothers facing urgent needs.

‎As a result, there are still many children waiting for assistance and families whose needs remain unmet.

‎THE NEED IS URGENT

‎The continued economic pressure on vulnerable families means that the need for this project remains significant. Without intervention, children from disadvantaged households risk remaining out of school for extended periods, increasing their vulnerability to child labour, exploitation, and other forms of hardship.

‎APPEAL TO OUR DONORS AND SUPPORTERS

‎We sincerely appeal to the GlobalGiving community, donors, organizations, and compassionate individuals to support this project.

‎We urgently need funding to continue and expand our work. Even a modest contribution can help provide a child with the basic resources needed to return to school. With stronger financial support, we can reach more children, support more struggling families, strengthen our follow-up activities, and respond to urgent needs within the communities we serve.

‎Our goal of sending 2,000 children back to school remains unchanged. We are determined to continue working toward it, but we cannot achieve this goal without the support of people who believe that every child deserves an opportunity to learn and every vulnerable family deserves a chance to overcome hardship.

‎We invite donors and partners to stand with us once again. Your support can help turn a waiting child into a student, restore hope to a struggling family, and create opportunities that can last a lifetime.
