Dear Esteemed Patron,

Greetings to you from Health Education Adoption Rehabilitation Development Society (HEARDS) - India!

We are extremely thankful for your valuable donations towards the mid-day meal program for the poorest and downtrodden children. With your valuable donation, we were able to feed the children with good nutritious food. It not only made these children out of their hunger but also they were started to keep concentrate on their studies.   This was one of the major components, which made the project on rehabilitation of child laborers a great success.

Deep(name changed) is 10 years old got enrolled in our rehabilitation center in October 2018. Her mother Manju (name changed) was working in a brick kiln. She doesn't have her father because her father deserted her mother 4 years back and her mother was working in a brick kiln. Deep never went to school and she was helping her mother in brick kiln work. Her mother Manju got worried about her daughter's low weight and she noticed that she lacked the energy of she was lesser in weight compared to her neighbor's children.

Finally, our staff convinced her mother and enrolled Deep in our center. After joining our rehabilitation center her mother hoped that her daughter will increase her weight, but she discovered that the mid-day meal program offered a lot more for her as well. Right now Deep's weight got increased up to 3 kilograms. Now Deep is a healthy and happy child and now she joins with her neighbors and siblings and started to play with them all together.

Like Deep all the children coming to the rehabilitation center were mal-nutritious. Now the parents of these children have learned so much from this project, they understand the importance of nutrition.

I think if we can take small steps together by supporting this mid-day meal program. I assure you that this measure will be the best future for the health of the children in India.

I request all of you to please kindly support this project in order to bring these children back into education.

Thanking you,

With best wishes and fond regards,
