We participated as “art leaders” in the project of “Ishinomaki Art Event 2015”, which was supported by the Reconstruction Agency.
We designed a big tree on a paper sheet 25 meters long in advance by using the rolled paper which the Ishinomaki Mill of Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. had provided as support, and we spread it on the floor.
Then, each visitor added a flower drawing on the tree by using a sponge, a sheet of tissue paper, shoes or something like this.
We did not dare to prepare brushes for drawing in order to let the visitors express their feelings as flowers by using various kinds of tools.
A boy with disability chose several colors as he felt and mixed them together, and then drew a flower vividly.
A girl who is covered with colors ran around on the tree.
Volunteer students from Tokyo also drew flowers together with the residents.
The flowers on one tree expressed visitor’s feelings as one art.
We could make a great opportunity to grow the social community by getting cooperation from several companies.
