Play City Mini-Ishinomaki has been launched since 2012.
It is the event to manage the “city” for 2 days by children who work in this city, and usually it is held in a street or open spaces in a shopping street which got the tsunami. At the same time, in the same street, we organize a street party which anyone including adults can join.
In last July, 20 children including pupils of elementary schools and students of junior high schools took part in the Second Children’s Conference for Play City Mini-Ishinomaki.
They discussed their companies or shops which they will organize in this city. They have had a lot of interesting ideas. For instance, “Comedian’s Takoyaki (octopus dumplings) Shop” which is managed by children who are in love with comedy, “Labyrinthine School” which is the school having various plays, and “Manga Bank” which has many books much more than Manga café.
It will probably be a wonderful event packed with dreams.
It is the 4th Play City Mini-Ishinomaki this year, please do not miss it!
