For far too long, too many people have been overlooked and left out of the decision-making that affects their lives. Systemic changes must be made, and sincere listening and action must be part of the solution. As a nonprofit working to shift the feedback field to be more equitable, Feedback Labs commits to leveraging our privilege and platform to amplify BIPOC voices and BIPOC-serving organizations. To put our values into action, Feedback Labs created the Listening for Justice blog series, which highlights BIPOC activists' and leaders’ experiences in listening to their communities and acting on that feedback.
In Why investing in Black girls’ futures goes beyond listening, Girls For A Change writes about using feedback to invest in the empowerment and wellbeing of Black girls through developmental opportunities such as mentorship and skill-learning.
Journey of a Veteran highlights Outreach Chicago’s work in addressing the issues facing the housing-insecure community. They write that “conversations and listening are key to finding and servicing more people…The answers to, ‘how do we make this program better’ often lie not in a grant report but in the voices of the streets.”
Thanks to support from donors like you, we were also able to recognize, honor, and compensate these activists and leaders for their time and labor relating to this blog series.
