In 2023 during celebration of 'World Children's Day' on November 20, FOH organized Nepal project - a distribution program of school supplies for six primary schools, benefiting 250 students in the Ramechhap and Gorkha districts. The timing of the distribution was crucial, as temperatures sharply decreased in the last week of December.
The provision of woolen sweatshirts and shoes proved to be immensely helpful for the students during the current winter season. The children, their parents and teachers expressed great joy and gratitude for the gifts received from FOH.
The project successfully reached its target of 250 students across remote villages in the Gorkha and Ramechhap districts.
Beneficiaries:
Students:
All students from the six selected basic schools, totalling 250 students, including both boys and girls from the rural municipalities of Gorkha and Ramechhap districts, have benefited from the FOH project. They received essential school supplies such as school dresses, school bags, sweatshirts, shoes, socks, and necessary stationary items.
Parents:
Parents of the students who benefited from the project have experienced indirect advantages. With their children equipped with necessary school supplies, parents can redirect their funds towards other crucial needs like food and medicine. This support allows for a more balanced financial allocation within the family, contributing to the overall well-being of both parents and children.
Teachers:
Teachers at the project schools have also benefited from the initiative. Each teacher received a teacher's bag, a teacher's diary, and a pen. This thoughtful gesture aims to motivate and empower educators, fostering an environment conducive to providing quality education to their students. The support for teachers reflects a holistic approach to improving the educational landscape in these communities.
Budget Breakdown:
Includes school uniforms, woolen sweatshirts, school bags, and stationery items (geometry boxes with pencils, sharpeners, erasers, pencil boxes, color boxes, exercise books).
Provides teachers with bags, a diary, and a pen.

Total Expenses:
This budget breakdown outlines the allocation of funds for the various aspects of the project, ensuring transparency and clarity in financial planning.
The project has played a crucial role in motivating students to attend school regularly. The provision of school uniforms, bags, stationery items, and shoes serves as a powerful incentive, reducing the likelihood of students dropping out. The uniformity in school dresses and bags, with a consistent color, promotes a sense of unity and equality among students, delivering a vital message: "We Are All One."
