From Helpless to Hopeful: Naya's Story
![Naya Studying]()
Naya Studying
Dear Friends,
Because of your generosity, children who have known nothing but hardship are stepping into safe classrooms in Aleppo. Today, we want to introduce you to Naya, a bright 14-year-old ninth-grader whose life has been completely transformed by your support.
For the past year and a half, Naya’s family has been caught in a quiet storm. Her father has been completely bedridden following a severe pelvic fracture. With no other income, Naya’s mother became the sole breadwinner, working tirelessly in exhausting sewing workshops just to secure their daily bread.
Living behind closed doors with her father's quiet sighs of pain and her mother’s exhaustion, Naya felt a heavy weight on her young shoulders. She wanted to help, but felt entirely helpless. Because of their severe financial strain, Naya could only attend a public school that suffered from a crippling shortage of teaching staff. She was falling behind.
But your support changed her narrative.
Through the "Study Support" project Naya was enrolled in an after-school educational institute. This sanctuary completely made up for the gaps in her public school. Surrounded by dedicated teachers and engaging lessons, Naya didn't just catch up—she blossomed.
Today, Naya is an outstanding student, excelling beautifully in Science and Physics. The institute gave her a safe, joyful environment where she could finally drop the worries of poverty and just be a child again. Her self-confidence has soared, and the girl who once felt helpless now has a powerful voice. Her dream? To become a lawyer and spend her life defending human rights.
Naya’s story is a beautiful reminder of what is possible when we invest in a child's education. So far, our community of 17 incredible donors has helped us raise €3,853 toward our goal.
With the new school year now officially underway, our immediate need is critical. We must secure ongoing study support lessons and safe transportation for Naya and the other 49 at-risk girls and boys in our program. We are €3,275 away from fully guaranteeing this entire academic year.
How you can take action today:
- €25 covers an entire month of safe, reliable transportation to the institute for one student.
- €50 provides a month of intensive, high-quality after-school tutoring in vital subjects like Science and Physics.
- Become a Monthly Donor: Setting up a small, recurring monthly donation ensures that children like Naya never have their education interrupted by sudden financial crises.
Every single euro bridges the gap between a disrupted childhood and a peaceful future. Thank you for standing with Naya and the children of Aleppo.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Crete For Life Team
