This project will help build a conducive computer learning center with at least 100 computers (desktops/Laptops) in Ede remote community, Nigeria, providing an efficient power supply for proper studies for 1000 children unable to have access to digital literacy opportunities. Julie Helping Hands Foundation intends to employ 5 more trainers so as to accomplish the objectives of this project, as we currently have one trainer training over 20 children weekly.
There are currently more than 1,000 children without access to digital literacy education in Ede community, JHF is training them in batches which kicked off in October 2022. There are not enough funds to get better-equipped computer learning centers, computer systems, internet availability, and better power supply. Hence, we need funds to get bigger space that can take 50 children per a class, more trainers, computers.
JHF will provide educational mediums through which the unlearned can gain ICT and business skills and become self-employed, thereby reducing poverty and unemployment in society and the country as a whole.
The project will help educate 1000 children, helping them rise out of digital illiteracy, poverty, and unemployment.
