Over 200 DC Public School students attended this year's Camp City Year!
Here is a letter of praise for our Camp program staff from a DCPS School Partner:
"This morning, while doing a community mapping exercise with my CIS team, we took the opportunity to stop by Turner to visit Camp City Year. We wanted to check on several of our Garfield students, but we also wanted to lend support to many of the CY Corps Members from Garfield and Cardozo, who we have grown to appreciate and value, through our collective mission.
Having run similar programs in the past, and knowing how much it takes to run a successful camp, I just want to offer my praise and positive feedback to that team for all that they have accomplished this week. Their level of organization, professionalism, engagement, attentiveness and enthusiasm was notable, and impressive. It is such a wonderful thing to know that our kids have had a safe, structured, happy place to spend their week! It was truly a boost to my day to see such fantastic things in play! I am so glad that we could support this endeavor!
As a partner in this challenging and fulfilling work, thank you to your team!"
