The Child Safe Schools Project emphasizes the crucial role of schools in creating and maintaining safe learning environments for children. In accordance with the DepEd Order No. 40, series of 2012 or the DepEd Child Protection Policy, the project aims to help schools create their localized and needs-based Child Protection Policy and Programs. Through the localized Child Protection Policy and Programs, schools can better address reports of child abuse, promote their own child protection advocacy, and strengthen their community-based referral pathways.
Through Bantay Bata and with the help of supporters like you, our partner schools attended a 4-day onsite training, an online guided write shop, and an on-ground launching of the projects and turnover of school advocacy kits. As part of Bantay Bata 163’s efforts to combat Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC), we partnered with the Department of Education’s Schools Division Offices (SDO) in Luzon and Visayas where cases have been reported and an identified potential risk due to its geographical location.
Thank you for helping us create more safer schools for Filipino children!
