Update! Your support of Children with Rare Childhood Hip Disease

Dear Donors,

The Legg Calve Perthes Foundation appreciates all of your support and wanted to provide an update to those who made our campaign a success. We nearly complete our first initial goal of $15,000 and have announced to our community that this program is now funded and the Family Assistance Fund will be available to apply in 2019. Because of your help, we are honored our organization can help bear the burden of caring for a rare disease loved one. The positive and great feedback is a direct correlation to the support you have given the organization.

We also wanted to take this opportunity to provide a few updates since sharing our project. First, we shifted our name to Perthes.org to streamline our presence and efforts in the marketplace, officially the Legg Calve Perthes Foundation, we will also be doing business as Perthes.org. We also added three fantastic volunteers to our line up to help with social media outreach efforts, program execution, volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and website maintence.

We held our second annual Perthes Conference on October 20th in Dallas at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. A week prior to the Perthes Conference, Perthes.org attended the National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD) conference in Washington, D.C. and was selected to share research on behalf of Dr. Harry Kim and his teams’ efforts to produce preliminary positive outcomes in a animal testing model. Perthes.org earned the platinum level of transparency from GuideStar. We hosted our first ever Perthes Benefit and Silent Auction at the largest winery in Virginia. We rounded out the month with a focus on #GivingTuesday to help sustain the foundation and the goals laid out in 2019.

As we wind down 2018, we will take the opportunity to focus on time with family and loved ones over the holidays and reflect on what an amazing year 2018 has been for Perthes.org. The organization continues to grow, the support you have provided is critical to helping us continue to achieve goals and move forward. So, again, we Thank You endlessly for your financial support and generous donation.

Please continue to stay in touch via our monthly newsletters, which you can sign up for here: https://mailchi.mp/perthes/signup to stay up to date on all Perthes related efforts.

Thank you and Happy Holidays,
