Ignite Shelter, inspired by Bhumi, continues to bridge the care gap in shelter homes by engaging dedicated young volunteers to provide consistent learning support and mentorship. During Quarter 4 (January - March, FY 2025 - 26), 120 volunteers conducted 109 weekend learning sessions, positively impacting 978 children across partner shelter homes.
By maintaining a 1:5 volunteer-to-child ratio, the initiative ensures that every child receives personalized attention and a nurturing learning environment. The sessions extended beyond academics to include Arts and Life Skills, helping children build creativity, confidence, and essential life competencies for their future.
The initiative was driven by 32 Club Leads and 54 Coordinators, whose leadership enabled the smooth delivery of the program while fostering a strong culture of volunteerism and community engagement. Ignite Shelter remains committed to creating equitable learning opportunities for children in shelter homes and empowering them with the skills and support needed to thrive.
We sincerely thank our donors and partners for their continued support in making these meaningful learning experiences possible.
