Ignite Shelter, inspired by Bhumi’s mission, continues to bridge the care and learning gap in shelter homes by mobilizing a dedicated force of young volunteers. With 767 passionate volunteers engaging children at a 1:5 volunteer-to-child ratio, the program ensures personalized attention and meaningful learning experiences.
In Quarter 2 (July - September), Ignite Shelter impacted 1,418 children, delivering 580 structured sessions that together contributed to 2,932 educational engagements. These sessions extended beyond academics to include enriching subjects like Robotics, Arts, and Life Skills, designed to build confidence, creativity, and sustainable competencies.
Guided by 25 Club Leads and 58 Coordinators, the initiative not only strengthens learning outcomes but also nurtures leadership and community ownership among volunteers. Ignite Shelter remains committed to advancing equitable education and shaping empowered futures for children in shelter homes, and we deeply appreciate the donors whose support makes this impact possible.
