We empower children and youth with varying Intellectual Disabilities (ID) using the power of sports. Our sports camps and dedicated coaches help develop fine motor and sports skills in youth with ID, which enables their participation in life experiences. Our unified sports help build confidence and social skills in athletes. We also deliver coaching clinics for teachers and coaches of special schools to equip them with the expertise to execute our inclusive sports program in a school setting.
Pakistan has one of the highest reported rates of youth with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) globally, with estimates vary from 1.9% for severe to 6.5% for mild cases. Young people with ID struggle the most with motor and social skills, which limit their participation in learning and life experiences. Research shows that sports help youth with ID to develop bio-motor and life skills. We need resources to provide nationwide sporting opportunities and an inclusive sports platform for youth with ID.
We organize regular training camps and tournaments of Football, Tennis, Bocce, and other sports for young people with Intellectual Disabilities (ID). We also offer Unified Sports opportunities where youth with and without special needs get to train and play together in an inclusive setting. Through ongoing coaching clinics and workshops, we work with coaches, families, and volunteering unified partners to ensure that the sporting environment develops bio-motor and sports skills in youth with ID.
By pushing their varying learning abilities, our sports program transforms youth with ID into empowered athletes who play at school, national, and international levels. Our year-round sports camps and coaches not only help develop specialized sports skills in young people with ID but also build their self-confidence. The unified sports experiences serve as an inclusive platform for youth with and without disabilities that significantly improve the social and learning skills of athletes with ID.
