Delivering Justice and Hope to Vulnerable Women and Children in Uganda
According to recent global justice data, over five billion people still lack meaningful access to justice: a staggering reminder of the scale of legal inequality worldwide. In Uganda, justice problems are extremely common and many go unresolved since the majority of the population cannot afford legal services. For women and children, this reality is compounded by layers of vulnerability: poverty, gender-based violence, land dispossession, and family instability.
As a leading legal aid service provider, FIDA-Uganda continues to stand at the frontline of justice delivery for those most in need. With generous support received from our partner, we provided critical legal aid services to 3,569 vulnerable individuals between July and September 2025, 72% of whom were women.
Our Impact in Numbers (Q3 2025):
Behind these figures are stories of courage and transformation: women escaping cycles of domestic abuse, families regaining access to their land, and children restored to safety and care. Through FIDA-Uganda’s community legal volunteers and legal aid clinics, justice is reaching even the most remote corners of the country.
Despite these remarkable achievements, the need remains immense. Countless women continue to face injustice due to poverty, discrimination, and lack of access to legal support. Your continued support is vital.
By donating to FIDA-Uganda, you help us:
Every contribution - big or small - fuels our mission to make justice accessible to all. Together, we can continue building a Uganda where every woman and child lives with dignity, equality, and hope.
