As 2025 came to a close, BCT Residential School stood as a place of hope, learning, and transformation for hundreds of children and communities. Each initiative undertaken during the year reflected a single belief that when children are nurtured with care, education, and opportunity, they grow into confident changemakers for tomorrow.
Shaping Responsible Citizens
BCT students raised their voices for a healthier future by participating in the “Drug-free Tomorrow: Awareness and Education Expo.” Showcasing banners and speaking with conviction, the children demonstrated their understanding of the dangers of substance abuse. An interaction with an IPS Officer left a lasting impression, reinforcing that their choices today can shape a safer society tomorrow. The specially abled students at BCTs Sri PV Venkatesan Center for the Challenged also celebarted World Disability Day with fun and games.
Dreams Strengthened Through Recognition
For seven students, 2025 brought more than academic success, it brought them recognition and hope. Selected by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Vizag Chapter, these students received scholarships of 3,000 each, easing financial burdens and affirming their potential. When JCI members visited the campus to hear students share their journeys, it became clear that encouragement can be as powerful too.
Nourishing Minds by Nourishing Bodies
Good nutrition remains at the heart of effective learning. The visit of dignitaries from Feeding India highlighted the impact of daily nutritious meals on students’ health and focus. The joy on Children’s Day was equally telling, as their bright eyes and wide smiles greeted thoughtfully curated learning gifts. Given by Feeding India team, these have turned education into play. These moments reminded us the value of simple joys and happiness as essential to a child’s growth.
A Golden Legacy of Service
November 2025 marked a historic milestone as BCT celebrated 50 years of unwavering service. The Golden Jubilee brought together generations of supporters, staff, and students, all united by the vision of Late Dr. B.V. Parameswar Rao. Cultural performances by students, exhibitions by BCT’s various verticals, and shared reflections made the day a powerful tribute to five decades of impact—and a promise of continued service.
Building Values Beyond the Classroom
Festivals like Sankranti were celebrated on campus, instilling cultural pride and togetherness. Through Swachhata Pakhawada, students and villagers learned the importance of cleanliness and hygiene, with over 390 individuals taking pledges toward healthier living. These initiatives empowered children to become ambassadors of change within their own communities.
Growing Communities Through Education
BCT’s community development program transformed school campuses into living classrooms. In six government schools, children learned to grow vegetables such as spinach, tomatoes, gourds, and more. While these improve nutrition, they also help in building responsibility and life skills. Community Action Groups protected these gardens, creating a shared sense of ownership and pride.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders
Through Enterprising Bharat 3.0, over 450 students and startups came together to imagine solutions for the next billion users. BCT school students added gaiety to the event through their cultural performances. Visits from Teach for India further strengthened partnerships aimed at inclusive education, including support for children with special needs.
Each development over the past few months stood as a testament to how far the support of people like you can go to shape the lives of many children, giving them hope for a better future.
