This quarter started with the fear of the spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. Lahore also suffered severely from the Smog as the whole city was covered with mysterious clouds of poisonous gasses and dust but, we didn’t stop.
The institute was operational and working hard to serve the cause of Special Children. Staff didn’t only keep the school activities going but also arranged the presentations of students on stage for the ‘World Day for Persons with Disabilities.
World Day for Persons with Disabilities:
A colorful event was organized by Rising Sun in collaboration with PWTD and Social Welfare department to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Mr. Mudassar Riaz Malik, Director General Social Welfare was the respected chief guest and Dr. Uzhar Hashmi graced the occasion as guest of honor. Many friends and colleagues from different partner NGOs also joined us. Mr. Riaz Malik highly appreciated the great performances of our students. He also praised the efforts of the Rising Sun team. We are looking forward to taking this collaboration with the Social welfare dept. ahead to explore more avenues.
Cooked Food Delivery from Gosha-E-Aafiyat
Alhamdulillah! The Kitchen of Gosha-E-Aafiyat project has started functioning. Now, special persons, under the supervision of trained and skilled staff, prepares daily lunch at Gosha-E-Aafiyat Kitchen to fulfill the need of the staff of a private firm in Johar Town – Lahore. The food is prepared under the vigilance of a professional cook and then packed and sent to the designated office to fulfill their order.
