Many families in Wa East District in Northern Ghana live in extreme poverty and struggle to access basic healthcare due to limited health facilities, long travel distances, and high medical costs. This project will provide free medical outreach, basic treatment, medicines, and health support for 400 poor families in deprived communities.
Families in Wa East District face severe poverty and limited access to healthcare services. Many communities are far from health centers, and transportation costs make it difficult for families to seek medical care. Because of this, many people delay treatment or rely on home remedies, which often leads to complications. Common conditions such as malaria, infections, malnutrition, and pregnancy-related issues remain untreated or poorly managed, especially among vulnerable households.
This project will deliver mobile medical outreach services directly to poor and underserved communities in Wa East District. Medical teams will provide free consultations, basic medicines, health screenings, maternal care support, and referrals for serious cases. The project will also include health education sessions to help families understand disease prevention, hygiene practices, and early treatment seeking.
This project will improve healthcare access and living conditions for 400 poor families in Wa East District. It will reduce untreated illnesses, improve maternal and child health outcomes, strengthen early diagnosis, and increase health awareness in rural communities. Over time, it will also reduce the financial burden of healthcare on vulnerable households and contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.
